At Roe Farm, we recognise that reading is important for so many reasons but that in the modern society we live, there is increasingly more distractions taking us away from books. 

 

With this in mind, each class has adopted a 'class author' whose stories we use in our termly author weeks.  During author week, all our lessons are based on the book we have chosen by that author.  For year groups with longer texts, this becomes the class story for that term.

Our author week work supplements the texts used in our Talk4Writing work and Whole Class Reading sessions.
